London, 15 June 2010 - Mwana Africa PLC (AIM: MWA) today announced that it has received a decision from the securities regulatory authorities in each of the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Québec and Newfoundland and Labrador (collectively, the "Jurisdictions") that Mwana is not a reporting issuer in the Jurisdictions and is therefore no longer a reporting issuer in Canada.
The decision by the securities regulatory authorities does not affect Mwana's listing on AIM or its reporting obligations under U.K. securities law or AIM requirements. However, as Mwana is no longer a reporting issuer in any jurisdiction in Canada it will no longer be subject to Canadian continuous disclosure requirements.
Mwana has undertaken to continue to deliver concurrently to its security holders resident in Canada all disclosure documents that it is required by U.K. securities law or AIM requirements to deliver to its U.K. resident security holders.
